AI is everywhere right now - and trust us when we say, our team is swapping new tips and tricks daily. While everyone’s asking “Will AI kill video creativity?” we think there’s a more exciting question:
How can we make AI work for us - not instead of us?
So, what does AI actually mean for you - our clients, brand leads, marketers and agency partners (any anyone else reading this)?
AI is quietly changing the game behind the scenes. Not by replacing your ideas, but by helping you see them faster.
Think: quicker pitch turnarounds, sharper mood films, instant storyboards and draft cuts - all before you commit a big budget to a shoot.
And we’re not just talking about it we’re doing it.
Generative storyboards: For example, for our sustainability client Osprey Charging Network, we used AI to visualise an entire shoot location based on ideas imagined by children.
Pitch Decks:
We use tools like Midjourney to generate fast concept art that brings scripts to life at the pitch stage - no more waiting weeks for custom illustrations.
[Example: AI-generated storyboard image -real proof from our work with NBCU x UBS.]
AI voice drafts: Sometimes we’ll run scripts through AI voice to test tone and timing, so the real VO artist can nail it faster.
Concept edits: AI stock, generative fill and draft-grade clips help us experiment with scenes and transitions - so we can test bold ideas early, without burning budget on live action until we’re sure.
I was speaking to Rabia an editor at BearJam and she shared this insight: “AI is a great tool to help with mundane and time-consuming tasks, but it can’t just be used on its own. The work still needs the human spark that makes the work shine.”
Check out one of our projects where we brought it to life using AI
AI is powerful - but it’s still a tool, not the talent (thank goodness).
What we’ll never automate: human stories, real emotion, and the ideas you remember.
Originality, nuance, symbolism these come from people.
Our directors, editors, writers and producers bring the emotional intelligence and craft that turns a good idea into a film worth sharing.
AI is here to stay and it’s only getting better.
AI isn’t perfect. It’s only as original as the data it’s trained on.
It can’t (yet) handle complex narratives, deep emotional arcs or fully coherent high-end video on its own.
And with new tech comes real responsibility.
We know bias, deepfakes and misuse are real risks. That’s why we keep AI as our assistant, not our replacement and we’re transparent with clients about how we use it.
At BearJam, we see AI as an invisible extra team member helping us pitch bigger ideas, edit faster, and test bold concepts in hours, not weeks.
It frees up our people to do what they do best: craft stories that connect.
Our clients don’t come to us for shortcuts.
They come for smart ideas that connect and AI just helps us deliver them faster and better.
