MEET Phoebe - Account Executive at BearJam

Introducing the second of MEET the TEAM

A Day in the Life (According to Me)

Probably the most interesting ‘day in the life’ you’ll read… bar everyone else that works at BearJam.

So let’s get into it....

My alarm goes off at 7am - and I snooze it about five times before I actually get up. Once I’m moving, it’s the usual: shower, breakfast, and I’m out the door just after 8 for my walk into work. It takes about 45–50 minutes and is a nice way to start the day (when it’s not raining, anyway).

I get into the office just before 9 and head straight for the iced coffee. Basically a barista at this point.

The Work Bit

No two days are exactly the same, which is ideal for me. But here’s a general breakdown:

Task One: Check what social media or marketing content needs to be written, edited or scheduled for the day and checking emails to see if anything needs to be actioned.

Task Two: Review performance on various platforms - see what the analytics are telling me and brainstorm ideas to improve engagement.

Then it’s time for…
You guessed it. Another coffee. And a quick loo trip.

Next up: Meetings. Sometimes with potential clients, which is always exciting. Afterwards I’ll do a quick brainstorm session and loop the rest of the team in with any updates and then its all COMMS COMMS COMMS with clients... booking meetings and follow up emails.

There’s also the admin side - updating our system with client info, checking for status changes (Stick to the Status Quo - if you know the refrence i applaud you), and making sure everything’s where it should be.

Then there’s the production side - covering everything from interviewing people to all the bits in between. I’ll leave it there, as I’m sure you don’t need an essay about my life (even though I could happily keep writing and chatting for Britain!).

Break Time

Lunch usually means heading out of the office for a walk or a quick park break (essential for my sanity).

The Afternoon Sprint

Post-lunch, James gives me a few tasks to crack on with. I report back when they’re done (gold star, please).

Then Tristain usually has a few more bits for me to get stuck into.

Somewhere in between: another coffee… or tea if I’m pretending to be sensible.

The Wind Down

End of the day means closing the laptop, taking a breath, and heading out. I either walk home, hit the gym, go for a run, or meet up with a friend.

Then it’s lights out - ready to do it all again (after snoozing the alarm five times, of course).

If you survived this, you’ll love the next “Meet the Team” - so stay tuned!

Catch you around, and let me know what you think (or don’t, but I’ll pretend you did). And if you still can’t get enough of our chaos, stalk us on Instagram for even more behind-the-scenes shenanigans!
