If you loved the last blog from one of our editors, you definitely won’t want to miss this one!
This one’s short, sweet, and packed with “wow” moments. Let’s get magical…
“At BearJam, our team is small, so we don’t always have access to experts for every challenge. Some say this is limiting, others say it allows us to think fast and react even faster. Personally, what I love about AI is that it gives me tools to do my job better and faster.
Recorded audio isn’t always perfect. We’ve certainly had cases where background noise or poorly recorded speech needed fixing - maybe a client self-taped on a construction site? But fear not: this doesn’t stop us from turning these pieces into masterpieces.
Thankfully, as someone who isn’t an audio engineer, tools like Adobe Enhance Speech and Resolve’s AI Voice Isolator come to the rescue. They use AI to create cleaner versions of dialogue, letting me focus on storytelling rather than battling background noise or barely audible speech.
Voiceover
Need a voiceover? There’s an app for that too.
AI voiceovers have become common in our projects. With the right guidance, these tools produce near-realistic results. This means clients who might not have had a budget for voiceovers in the past now have access to them - in any language! (pretty cool right) We still use human voiceover artists when the project demands it because nothing beats the human touch. But for much of our work, AI opens new storytelling opportunities.
Transcripts and Captions
Manual transcription is a thing of the past.
Today, editing software can auto-generate transcripts and captions in seconds. This makes it easy to navigate long interviews and locate the best soundbites quickly. These transcripts can then be transformed into stylish captions, making our workflow faster, sleeker, and more efficient for clients.
So there you have it - a peek into how we’re using AI in editing. It’s all about elevating our work, not hindering it.
Are there any AI platforms you use that we haven’t tried yet? Reach out and let us know! We’re always on the lookout for new, fun ways to improve our workflow.
