The ask:
Qatar Tourism wanted to create a compelling video narrative that highlights Qatar as a surprising and memorable destination, encouraging viewers to explore beyond the expected. The campaign, "Surprise Yourself", targeted friends, families, and couples, aiming to appeal to a sophisticated, well-traveled audience who values unique, memorable experiences. Deliverables included a 30-second hero film for digital use and a 15-second teaser to grab attention on social media platforms. The tagline was: "For moments that stay with you."
The answer:
We developed an immersive, dynamic cinematic approach that takes viewers on a 24-hour journey through Qatar, told through the narrative of an adventurous tourist returning with his partner. Using in-camera transitions and speed ramps, we created a sense of continuous discovery, seamlessly shifting between primary locations—Fuwarit Kite Beach, Zulal Wellness Resort, Place Vendome, Secret Garden, and Souq Waqif—and secondary locations like Katara Mosque, Corniche Skyline, and Katara Towers, adding texture and vibrancy.
The hero 30-second film captured the full journey, while the 15-second teaser distilled the excitement into a quick, attention-grabbing highlight for social media. A reflective voiceover contrasted past and present experiences, balancing adventure and nostalgia. The result is a visually rich, emotionally engaging campaign that positions Qatar as a destination full of surprising and unforgettable experiences.
