McDonald’s wanted to communicate the Click and Serve function of the My McDonald’s App - this is essentially "click and collect" but in cars and in person. The way it works is you can order on the app, park up and check in when you arrive, for your takeaway order to be brought out to you. The key target audience was those in cars rather than walk-ins.

‘Hack the Drive Thru Queue’ with a man who has the word ‘hack’ in his name… sort of.
We created a suite of video assets featuring ex-England Rugby star, James Haskell, demonstrating the latest McDonald’s hack – how to hack the Drive-Thru queue!
It’s a tenuous link and that was very much played up in the script to add the comic effect, whilst also getting a clear ‘how to’ across as he used the app. All were filmed through his car window at a drive-in.
