Success story
Fraud Awareness Week 2025
The Ask
Surrey OPCC approached us with a challenge: create a fresh, bold and thought-provoking way to educate the public about AI-enabled fraud. Their specific request was to produce a convincing deepfake of Commissioner Lisa Townsend that would surprise viewers, feel authentic on their public channels and showcase how easily fraudsters could replicate someone’s likeness using only publicly available information.
The Answer
We delivered a safe, ethical deepfake built through an approved AI pipeline that prioritised transparency, educational framing and responsible use. Using only open-source footage, we trained a custom model, aligned voice and visuals, and created a narrative that made the purpose unmistakably clear. The result was Surrey Police’s most successful content to date, sparking public conversation, driving strong engagement and helping residents better understand how to protect themselves from increasingly sophisticated scams.
