We've pulled together a short guide for scripting and editing an outstanding showreel:

 

1. Define Your Objective:

  • Start by clarifying the purpose of your showreel. Is it to showcase your agency's capabilities, highlight specific projects, or demonstrate your creative skills? Knowing your objective is key.

2. Select Your Best Work:

  • Curate a selection of your most impressive projects that align with your objective. Choose a variety of content to showcase your versatility and expertise. Remember, its as much about showing the type of work you want to win too.

3. Create a Compelling Script:

  • Begin with a strong opening that grabs viewers' attention. This could be a memorable quote, a striking visual, or a brief introduction.
  • Keep the script concise and focused. Highlight key achievements, skills, and unique selling points.
  • Don't overdo it. The viewer may only remember 3 messages so focus on the most important ones. 
  • What else can you include? Client testimonials or endorsements can build trust.
  • Conclude with a powerful call to action, urging viewers to contact your agency. It might be useful to script the CTA first. 

4. Organize Your Content:

  • Include your agency's logo, website, and contact information prominently at the end of the video.
  • Make it easy for viewers to reach out to you after watching.
