It’s been another busy month so we wanted to give you a glimpse behind the scenes at Bear Jam.
We have been lucky enough to meet a few sporting legends over the past five years at Bear Jam. The latest of our heroes came in the form of tennis legend Tim Henman. Such a lovely chap, we interviewed him for the Lawn Tennis Association in the build up to Wimbledon.
Ever wondered how we get our action shots? Set up a camera rig rail? Sometimes. Use a drone? Often. Hang off the back of a tuk-tuk? Always! We got so carried away filming HSBC employees in Paris, cameraman James jumped on the back of a rickshaw to get the right shot of a member of the HSBC team riding to the event on his scooter. C’est la vie. (A Sony fs5 mounted on a on a DJI Ronin-M handheld 3-axis camera gimbal with a mixture of prime lenses, if you’re interested).
Life can be stressful and we all need to take the time to focus on our happiness and wellbeing. HB Reavis know the importance of a healthy mind and through their inspiring Talks series, hosted an a event of talks by inspiring people. From tips to help you sleep better to interesting insights surrounding the power of our senses, we captured it all and learnt lots in the process. What a perfect day to take the drone for a spin! We filmed 6 farms over 3 days for our client Botanicoir. From Preston, to Gloucester to the New Forest we met and filmed so many passionate growers and even more tomatoes. I only wish I’d packed my shorts.

Sometimes a hard-hat is an essential part of our DoP’s wardrobe but we probably weren’t expecting to wear one when a brief to film at The Royal Albert Hall came in.
Getting down and dirty and not in the rude sense, DoP Joe stood in the muddy foundations of the iconic building to capture Realtime Engineers’ progress on the Hall’s new basement storage area. Everyone needs good storage after all.
Our creative and post-production teams have been busy too. We’ve got some great projects in the pipeline that we’re looking forward to sharing with you soon. Watch out for a series of videos we’re producing for The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa in Bath.
And finally we were promised cocktails by Aperol when we filmed The Aperol Big Spritz Social in East London, and boy did they deliver. The perfect end to a jam-packed month at Bear Jam.
