Book a Call

Creative inspiration | opening credits

At BearJam, we love a great opening credit sequence — not just because they’re visually stunning, but because they’re a powerful way to set tone, build anticipation, and tell a story before the story even begins.

Whether it’s surreal animation, kinetic type, or subtle symbolism, a strong title sequence doesn’t just decorate the start of a show — it adds meaning. It’s a creative playground where visual design, animation, sound design, and narrative collide.

Here’s what stood out to us in our latest inspiration session:

the morning show | Elastic
Elastic (the team behind True Detective and Game of Thrones titles) delivers another masterclass. The visuals are clean and abstract, yet emotionally charged — echoing the themes of tension, disruption, and controlled chaos. The kinetic energy of the bouncing ball becomes a metaphor for everything just… barely… holding together.

severance | Extraweg

We can’t get enough of this one. It’s unsettling, strange, and beautiful. The warped 3D animation and uncanny valley office environments speak directly to the show’s themes of identity, compliance, and fractured reality. It’s a brilliant example of how motion design can extend a show’s world-building.

What Makes a Great Title Sequence?

Here’s what we think separates the good from the great:

  • It tells a story before the story begins

  • It reflects the tone and personality of the show or film

  • It uses motion, design and sound together — with purpose

  • It invites rewatching — because it’s layered, clever or just gorgeous

And the truth is, great title sequences don’t just belong on TV shows or Hollywood films. Brands, events, and campaigns can all benefit from that same storytelling energy. A well-designed opener can make a product launch feel cinematic, elevate a keynote into an experience, or give a digital campaign the kind of polish that makes audiences stop scrolling. When you invest in those first few seconds, you set the stage for everything that follows — and people remember how you made them feel.
