End-of-Year WOW – How Is It December Already?!
Time has absolutely flown by - I swear it was June five minutes ago. The temperatures say otherwise, though… it definitely feels like –10 outside. But cold weather only means one thing: Advent calendar season is upon us.
Back at HQ we’ve been elfing each other. If you’re new to elfing, let me enlighten you:
Desks wrapped like presents? Yes.
Wild goose chases around the office? Yes.
Sweet treats appearing out of nowhere? Yes.
It’s been a chaotic, hilarious, and very festive way to get everyone into the Christmas spirit.
But what you really want to know is…
The Team’s Favourite Projects of 2024 & What They’re Excited For in 2025
In true Phoebe style, I emailed, chased, and hunted the team down for answers - no stragglers allowed. Here’s what everyone had to say:
Catie
What is your favourite project this year: Romans x Kellogg’s — “I loved watching it over and over. It just fills you with joy!”
What are you looking forward to in 2026: “Being settled in… and a family trip during half-term. Two total opposites, I know.”
James
What is your favourite project this year: SD Worx — "Because AI, of course! Plus, it was such a great project: over 400 deliverables across different languages".
What are you looking forward to in 2026: “Possibly growing the team, more overseas shoots, visiting new places (with time to explore). Maybe even picking up an award or two. And honestly? Watching how fast video AI evolves — it’s already wild.”
Trey
What is your favourite project this year: Ferrari F1 x HP — “High stakes, huge scale, tight timing, and all at Ferrari HQ in Modena. And it was literally weeks after I joined Bearjam — a massive vote of confidence.”
What are you looking forward to in 2026: .............ask me next year!
Tristan
What is your favourite project this year: "Kellogg's I got to produce it, got to see Trey in his element directing and could brag to my 8 year old that I met Haaland. But seeing that Catie beat me to do it i think it is... Pianothon it was slightly outside the lines of where we usually operate and many curve balls from the client batted away. Can we do a live stream? - or course. Can we do it in a train station ?- I see no reason why not. Can we do it for 24hrs straight? Now we’re cooking".
What are you looking forward to in 2026: "We’re entering the year with a spring in our step — and I’m excited to keep that spring bouncing all the way into summer. The kind of spring that brings in great work, great talent, and lots of happy, smiley faces".
Phoebe
What is your favourite project this year: FIFPRO - "It had to be something sporty! It was great meeting some pretty epic sports people and heading to different locations for the shoots".
What are you looking forward to in 2026: “Going into next year with a bang, with some exciting new projects.”
John
What is your favourite project this year? "Probably Kellogg’s — the content and production chaos was such a ride! But Landsec’s Work Made Personal campaign stands out for overall client vibes and the chance to step up and do some directing on one of the shoot days.
I almost forgot IVY and Keepr! Really proud of her for landing her first acting gig, obviously".
Looking ahead to next year, I’m excited about:
- Trey’s training days
- Getting back to acting with four episodes of Hollyoaks in January
- Pushing at least one personal project closer to fruition
Sarah
What is your favourite project this year: “Good question… maybe Hardsoft, but Just Anim Ep1 – ‘What is a SIP?’ is a close second.”
What are you looking forward to in 2026: “Working more on the new isometric design project for Hyperscience and starting our training days.”
Jakob
What is your favourite project this year: "ROMANS was great, but I think I loved UBS even more. That scene with the dog was so good — it probably has to be my favourite".
What are you looking forward to in 2026: "After work drinks in the summer time and actually taking my annual leave haha".
Rabia
Favourite project from this year? "Company of Cooks - Behind the Plate Ep 3: Fish
This was my favourite for a few reasons.
-
This had a TV documentary style, which we haven’t done.
-
The visuals were beautiful, loved the drone shots, cutting of the fish and the food assembly.
-
The grade was lovely to do as the footage had a natural coldness which we didn’t want, especially in the warehouse, as we wanted the clean look without it looking too cold.
-
This was a project where I experimented with sound design some more, which helped the piece".
What are you looking forward to in the new year? "I am looking forward to the half days that will be dedicated to training on anything that is either related to work or personal skills. I’m excited to do a few different things that have been on my list!
One tool I would like to learn is the AE Plugin Stardust, as we are using it for a client, and I would like to figure it out so I can make any changes when our Animator is busy! It also looks really cool!COC — loved them all, especially the fish one in Brixham.”
Eresha
What is your favourite project this year: Block and Arkamys — “I experimented with Pixar-style animation techniques for Block, and Arkamys was great visually. I could fix things quickly and push the quality.”
Looking forward to: “Creating more realistic, hyper-quality AI brand videos next year.”
“And that’s it from me… for now. From the team as well—if you haven’t seen it yet, check out our three words to describe the year below!”
Have a great Christmas, enjoy the break, and I’ll see you all next year.
