Designing a Human Centered Future
The ask.
To create a dynamic follow-up conversation for NTT, hosted by Phillipa Leighton-Jones together with NTT CEO and Chief AI Officer Abhijit Dubey. The aim was to explore what’s changed over the past year: how Abhijit’s role has evolved, how NTT’s AI consulting has matured, and to offer practical, grounded insight for enterprises navigating AI adoption. The brief called for something more engaging than a traditional fireside chat, without feeling over-produced or distracting.
The answer.
We designed a structured yet natural talking-head format, anchored by a seated interview and elevated with purposeful interaction-led B-roll. Knowing Abhijit is not comfortable with loose or solo B-roll, we carefully pre-blocked every interaction in advance — from coffee catch-ups and short office walks to brief team moments — ensuring each beat served the story and felt efficient and intentional.
To keep the piece visually dynamic, we used a multi-camera setup for the interview and introduced subtle, AI-inspired motion graphics to help visualise complex and abstract ideas without overpowering the conversation. Location recce was key: we sought an on-site NTT space with depth, movement and people, while retaining the existing office as a continuity-friendly fallback. The entire shoot was planned to run smoothly within a single half-day, respecting the CEO’s limited availability.
