the ask:

Mischief PR came to BearJam to execute the video production of ‘Deli-VAR-y’, a PR campaign for Just Eat. Customers would be encouraged to submit gameplay with their most ridiculous glitches and fluke shots from a rather well-known football game to be judged and compensated with a £25 Just Eat voucher to soften the blow.

The talent was already on board with YouTubers Chunkz and Darkest, bringing their top-drawer banter along with former Premier League referee; Mark Clattenburg being the judge and jury.

As is often the case with news-relevant PR ideas, time was of the essence we had just over two weeks from briefing to go-live. Game on!

the answer:

Over to BearJam to kick off the production.

We sourced a location that had 2 completely different-looking areas to film in. We needed one look for Chunkz and another for Mark. Not to mention a suitable front door for the all-important delivery moment.

As we only had the talent for a four-hour window our producers had to schedule and run a meticulous game plan.

We decided to shoot the hero piece with the cameras in portrait as we knew the content was only to be delivered for Instagram. We shot some additional content of Mark Clattenburg delivering the news (good or bad) to hopefuls who submitted their gameplay clips for ‘Deli-VAR-y’ review.

After a successful shoot day ,it was into the second half; post-production. Our editing team hit the back of the net with a quick turnaround edit delivering a video optimised for Instagram and title-safe for both the Feed and Reels.
