Director

Carly Claydon-Davies

Award-winning documentary and short-form director and editor, Carly started working in Post-Production in 2008 on feature films and trailers for Deluxe Digital London. Her early freelance career saw her produce and direct cause-driven films for social media influencers, with her short for Anna Whitehouse (aka Mother Pukka) and the Flex Appeal campaign reaching over 1.2 million views online. Carly went on to win the Peoples’ Choice Award at the 2023 Smiley Charity Film Awards for ‘Birth in Lockdown’ – a short film commissioned by charity Pregnant Then Screwed to recognise the experiences of women giving birth during the Covid-19 pandemic.

She is passionate about the power of filmmaking being used for positive social change and is able to draw out the humanity in most briefs to really connect audiences to the story on screen.
